Rattan furniture is intended for indoor use or should be used outdoors under a roof, because natural rattan does not like moisture and standing in the rain. Rain can cause bruising and discolouration of the material.

Rattan furniture should not be stored outdoors in winter, because natural rattan is sensitive to low temperatures - under their influence it can cause discolouration, deformation and cracks.
